For This Child believes in a
no hidden cost Guatemalan adoption. We provide
a
unique high level of services, but we have also worked to keep our fees as low as possible. We do not charge application fees, home study review fees,
courier fees, or dossier fees, and there are no other hidden charges.
We do not have a mandatory charitable donation requirement of our
clients. For This Child donates a generous portion of our profit from
every Guatemalan adoption to charities in Guatemala which benefit the country's
orphaned and impoverished children.
Our fee includes:
In-depth assistance with the preparation of
all documents for your dossier
Your own case manager who will follow your
case closely from beginning to end
Assistance with completion of a home study
Final home study review and edit of all out of
state homestudies
Agency services both in the U.S. and in Guatemala
Top of the line foster care
for your child (our foster families work for and are trained
by us -- not the Guatemalan attorneys)
A fully staffed bilingual
office in Guatemala City
Services and fees of the attorney in Guatemala for the legal
processing of your case
Translation of all documents
Comprehensive medical testing of all babies
Monthly medical checkups and routine medical care and vaccinations for your child in Guatemala
Monthly physician's reports, in English
One of our staff visiting with your child and
foster mother at least twice a month
Overseeing your case and providing
at least twice-monthly (and often times more frequently) photos
of your baby and social updates
All in-country assistance, including transportation, reservations, preparation for and accompanying family on Embassy day
A new birth certificate for your child
Your child's final checkup by the US Embassy
panel physician
Your child's passport
The fees to adopt one child are $28,000.00, payable as follows:
$2500 - when you are accepted as a For This Child client
$3500 - upon completion of the dossier
$11,000 - upon acceptance of child referral
$11,000 - when your case is finished (upon exiting PGN)
Agency fees will be reduced for the adoption of two children
at the same time.
We have structured our fee schedule so that
fees are due after professional services have been provided. Therefore, fees are
non-refundable once paid.
