The U.S. is preparing to ratify and implement the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption. The Hague Convention is an agreement between countries as to the basic standards and practices that must be used by any entity or person in each country that provides intercountry adoption services.  Under U.S. law, each agency that provides adoption services in Convention countries is required to make disclosures to the general public and/or to prospective adoptive parents, some upon first contact, others by request, and still others at different stages of the process.  Links to FTC’s disclosures are all collected on this page for your convenience.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about any of the items linked to on this page.
